Teacher Consultant/Resource Room Teachers:
Mrs. Lee attended Oakland University as an undergraduate, studying Communication Arts with a focus in Journalism and Photojournalism. She moved to Ann Arbor to attend Eastern Michigan University where she studied Special Education. She taught for one year in Westwood Community Schools before coming to Ann Arbor Public Schools. She has worked at Lakewood Day Treatment, Forsythe Middle School, and Slauson Middle School, finally landing at Thurston Elementary School. This is her 31st year of teaching, her 9th year at Thurston. When she is not teaching she enjoys reading, traveling, playing with her dogs and her grandchildren.

ASD Classroom Teacher
Mrs. Bloomfield graduated from Eastern Michigan University.
She received a degree in elementary special education with an endorsement of students with cognitive impairment. She is currently still in school getting her master in Autism Spectrum Disorder.
This is her first year teaching. Last year she completed her student teaching in a ASD classroom.
She is very excited to be in her first year teaching and is ready to build the ASD program.
